Theatre and Events:
The Well is a play without words. It is an original folktale that takes place in an imaginary rural village in Greece.
Ants - an experimental, durational art event inspired by the intuitive collective engagements of ants and their communities. Concept and Movement Direction by Alix Sideris. Creative team to be announced soon.
Film:
CBC Gem has premiered Alix’s short film, chemography: a study in light! It can be found on CBC Reflections for the next 3 years.
Writing:
Alix is in the process of writing a book called Radiant Heart: Resurrection(s). a personal meditation on rebirth.
Alix has also written em or Me, Mom & Medea which was conceived during her tenure at the Great Canadian Theatre Company’s Playmaker’s Society and further inspired during a 3 week residency with the National Arts Centre’s The Ark: Ancient Greece. em or Me, Mom & Medea is a sort of valentine to her mother, about a Greek immigrant woman living in Montréal North who clings to her memories and her allophone identity.
